Social network you want to login/join with: About the Role: Our client, a well-established and reputable law firm based in Essex, is seeking an experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor with at least 4 years PQE to join their busy litigation department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented solicitor to work on a broad range of contentious probate matters, offering the chance to handle complex and high-value cases. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload while benefiting from the support of a collaborative team. You will work on a variety of contentious probate issues, including disputes over wills, inheritance claims, and estate administration matters. The role requires a proactive and solution-oriented approach to clients’ legal needs. Key Responsibilities: Manage a varied caseload of contentious probate matters, including disputes over the validity of wills, challenges to the administration of estates, and inheritance claims. Advise clients on a wide range of contentious probate issues, ensuring clear communication of complex legal concepts. Draft and review legal documents, including statements of claim, defences, and settlement agreements. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations. Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal advice throughout the litigation process. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, offering expert advice and guidance. Collaborate with team members to handle more complex and high-value matters. Stay updated on developments in contentious probate law and litigation practices. Qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years PQE in contentious probate litigation. Strong experience handling a broad range of contentious probate matters. Proven ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for clients. Strong drafting and legal research skills. Demonstrable experience representing clients in litigation, including court appearances. A client-focused approach with the ability to provide practical and effective solutions.
