Working as a Family Link Worker, you will be supporting families in accessing essential services, resources, and building positive relationships within their community. This position is pivotal in promoting the overall well-being and resilience of families through collaborative partnerships and tailored support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand the unique needs and challenges faced by families. Engaging in empathetic and culturally sensitive consultations to establish rapport and gather essential information. Identifying and connecting families with local community resources, services, and activities that address their specific needs. Fostering strong relationships with community organisations and service providers to ensure families have access to a wide range of support. Working collaboratively with families to develop and implement personalised support plans, considering their strengths and aspirations. Providing ongoing guidance and encouragement to empower families in achieving their goals. Building and maintaining partnerships with local schools, healthcare providers, community centres, and other relevant entities to strengthen the support network for families. Organising and facilitating family-focused events and workshops to promote community connections. Advocating on behalf of families to ensure they receive the necessary support from various service providers. Acting as a liaison between families and relevant agencies to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Requirements: Qualification in social work, family studies, psychology, or a related field. Previous experience working with families in a supportive capacity. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse family dynamics. Knowledge of local community resources and services. Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months - on the update service.
