About the Role As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll take ownership of new product introductions and process improvements, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and external partners. You'll ensure the successful transition of innovative medical devices from concept to manufacture while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and manage new product introductions, ensuring quality targets and specifications are met. * Lead design reviews to ensure manufacturability of new devices. * Apply hands-on engineering expertise to build and test pre-production units, resolving technical challenges through root cause analysis. * Manage the design transfer process, generating essential documentation and meeting project deliverables. * Develop and implement manufacturing risk management activities, including pFMEA and control plans. * Identify and procure specialist equipment and tooling to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality. * Validate processes and qualify equipment, supporting manufacturing team readiness. * Collaborate with supply chain teams to evaluate and develop suppliers. * Keep up-to-date with innovative technologies and processes to maintain our market-leading position. About You You'll be a proactive, self-driven individual with extensive experience in mechanical manufacturing engineering, particularly in new product introduction and design transfer. With strong project management skills and technical expertise, you'll thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Essential Skills and Experience: * HND or degree in Engineering or Science discipline (or equivalent). * Proven experience delivering complex technical solutions within manufacturing engineering. * Deep understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection moulding and machining. * Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, and process validation
