We are looking for an experienced senior buyer to join our fast-paced buying team. Reporting directly to the Head of Buying, you will lead one of our category buying teams with responsibility for sourcing and buying key ranges within your designated category. You will also work closely with your partner product merchandising team to ensure we can successfully trade your ranges across our various channels which include our stores, website, and various partnership and international channels. As well as having a natural interest in the toy market, you will be a natural trader and skilled negotiator, with great communication skills and be supremely organised. As an expert in your field, you will be able to work at pace, making great commercial decisions with the ability to deep dive and micromanage the smaller commercial details. You will also be able to step back and maintain a more holistic view of the wider business. On top of all that, you will also be a brand ambassador, displaying a natural ability to build great relationships with our suppliers, internal stakeholders, and partners. Responsibilities

To own and deliver the specific category ranges designated to your team To generate ideas and proposals to positively impact the promotions and trade plan To build great supplier relationships and represent The Entertainer brand To help deliver efficiency projects within the Commercial team To work closely with the product merchandising team to maintain optimum stock levels across all of our trading channels To attend and support the commercial team buying trips Skills & Experience

Minimum 3 years experience in a similar commercial role, ideally within retail. Must have previous frontline supplier-facing experience. Commercially astute with a proven track record of leading negotiations to a successful conclusion. A great people manager with experience managing, developing, and coaching a small team. Excellent organisational skills and ability to Familiar with MS Office applications. Numerate and able to analyse detailed data, with good Excel skills.
