An Alternative Provision Centre in Croydon/South Norwood is looking for a Learning Mentor to start as soon as possible. This is a long term, full time position and will run for the remainder of the academic year. You will be working with young people across KS3 and KS4. The Learning Mentor Skills

This Alternative Provision or PRU school is looking for a passionate and experienced Learning Mentor who has a good understanding of young people's needs. You will be working in the secondary team supporting pupils on a 1:1 or classroom basis with their motivation and learning. You will have the opportunity to assist these students in activities that will further their independence and help them reintegrate back into mainstream school. The School

This Croydon/South Norwood based Alternative Provision school has recently joined a new academy in the last year. This school specialises in dealing with young people who cannot be in mainstream school for various reasons. The aim is to equip students for reintegration, further education, and employment with a curriculum that gives them a chance to succeed beyond their schooling years and into adulthood. Experience as a Learning Mentor is desirable but not essential. A passion for teaching students who struggle with mainstream school. Experience teaching within an alternative provision environment or a secondary school environment. A patient, calm, and engaging classroom manner. Registered DBS or be prepared to carry out a new DBS application.
