Job summary Seaford Elderly Care Ward

is a busy ward caring for short stay frailty patients. Staff can learn specialty care for those who may have multiple medical conditions, are on multiple medications, and often require specialist support at home or in their care homes. Staff will also support patients who are acutely unwell, may have poor recognition (dementia & delirium), difficulty in walking, falls, and frailty. We are looking for experienced Clinical Support Workers; hospital experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths, Care Certificate and/or NVQ2 in health and social care or the equivalent role is required. Your role will be to provide delegated clinical procedures such as insertion/removal of cannula, venepuncture, wound assessment and simple dressings, and removal of urinary catheter; training will be provided. You must be able to work as part of a team, use your own initiative with effective interpersonal and communication skills, contributing fully as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. We will provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship, and clinical supervision on the unit and are committed to the professional development of all staff. Team working is an integral part of this unit with all staff enabled and empowered to make a real difference for their patients.
