The Group is looking to take on a Senior Tax Consultant who will principally work with the Group’s Tax Manager and Tax Administrator on the Group’s tax compliance. The successful candidate will also support the Tax Manager and Senior Tax Manager with tax planning and tax advisory projects. This work is extremely varied and ranges from assisting with tax due diligence for large sale transactions, R&D tax credit and land remediation relief claims, capital allowances, transfer pricing, economic substance and tax enquiries. With significant exposure to UK and non-UK tax matters, you will have the opportunity to assist in driving improvements in the group's tax processes. Given the continuing expansion of the business in the UK, changing tax landscape and small team size, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks and will develop a broad skill set. What you will do: Assisting in the preparation of the Group’s tax compliance across all jurisdictions. Assisting with the review of the Group’s tax accounting arrangements, including tax provisioning and payments. Technical research. Assisting with driving forward tax projects within the tax team e.g., R&D tax credits, transfer pricing, etc. Assisting with monitoring the impact of legislative changes for the Group. Assisting with responses to potential tax authority enquiries. Relevant taxes include UK income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax, as well as Isle of Man, Jersey, Irish and Barbados tax. VAT, CIS and SDLT / LBTT are also useful and relevant to the Group; however, training can be provided for the right candidate. What you will have: The candidate will ideally: Be working in a tax role, or an account’s role with a keen interest in tax. Have had exposure to tax matters across one or more of the UK, IOM, Ireland and Jersey. Have a friendly disposition and a willingness to help others.
