As a Finance Manager - Reporting and Planning, your role is focused on the delivery of high-quality reporting (including commentary), budgets, and forecasts to the Group. You will manage a small team of Assistant Managers and/or Analysts, taking responsibility for the delivery of the functional purpose for a focused area of the business. The functional purpose includes: Developing and providing timely and accurate weekly, periodic, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc performance reporting for the entire business, including first-line commentary for all budget holders. Delivering timely, detailed, and accurate budgets and forecasts at a GL and cost center level, as required by the group planning processes. Acting as first-line business partners, providing commentary where appropriate and answering some queries. The Finance Manager will issue reporting and commentary, answering questions as appropriate. This advert will close on Friday 24th January 2025 As Finance Manager - Reporting and Planning within the Centre of Excellence, you will: Produce reporting for an area of the business, including weekly, periodic, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reporting, with top line commentary. Produce the budget, forecasting, and strategic planning process for an area of the business. Manage a small team of Assistant Managers and Analysts. Work closely with the BI team to migrate standard reporting into a BI environment. Support other areas of the business to remove standard reporting burdens. Act as a first-line business partner, balancing service, efficiency, and standardization. Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of data and reports. Own the first cut of project justifications for capital expenditure projects. Support the development of the team. Manage ad-hoc projects, analysis, and insight as required. The role will interface across the Group, being the first-line business partner lead for the finance function outputs. What you'll bring:

Qualified or nearly qualified accountant. Advanced Excel (incl. Macros/VBA). IBM Cognos Analytics experience. Previous business partnering experience. Good PowerPoint and presentation skills. Process improvement. Ability to develop innovative solutions to problems. Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels. Ability to prioritize effectively.
