Key Responsibilities: Manage Credit Risk:

Design and implement effective credit policies to safeguard against financial exposure. Team Leadership:

Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing credit control team. Credit Assessments:

Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers, using financial data to make informed decisions. Debt Collection:

Oversee timely collections and minimize overdue payments and bad debt. Cash Flow Control:

Monitor accounts receivable to ensure consistent cash flow and timely payments. Dispute Management:

Resolve customer disputes quickly, collaborating with sales and customer service to find solutions. Reporting:

Deliver accurate reports on credit metrics, aging accounts, and bad debt provisions to senior leadership. Cross-Department Collaboration:

Partner with sales, finance, and customer service teams to align on credit terms and collections. Compliance:

Ensure adherence to internal policies and industry regulations. Legal:

Oversee the legal process for customers who fail to meet payment deadlines, ensuring legal action is pursued to recover outstanding debts efficiently. Skills and Requirements: Proven experience in managing a Credit Control team, with a minimum of 2 years. Strong leadership, motivational, and delegation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to resolve customer and internal queries effectively. Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and manage competing priorities. A proactive approach to process improvement and efficiency. At least A-Level or BTEC Level 3 qualified.
