You will coordinate across various procurement functions, including Category Managers, Supply Chain Risk teams, Strategic Supplier Leads, and the Market Supplier Development team, ensuring seamless execution of commercial strategies for significant projects. As a Procurement Programme Manager at National Grid, you will play a key role in driving our procurement initiatives and shaping the future of our supply chain operations. Your responsibilities will include: Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with business partners and Business Unit counterparts to identify support needs and develop procurement strategies aligned with organizational priorities. Resource and Cost Management: Recommend optimal resourcing for project teams and coordinate cost estimation efforts to inform project budgets. Sourcing Strategy Development: Co-define and lead sourcing strategies with category leads to ensure effective procurement processes. Program Input and Delivery: Provide input for program/project sanctioning and define the overall delivery model, including commercial constructs and go-to-market approaches. Execution Leadership: Drive the successful execution of programs and projects, managing supplier coordination and claims effectively. Risk Assessment: Proactively assess and mitigate procurement-related risks while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. Team Development: Manage and mentor a motivated team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. What You'll Bring

Procurement Expertise: You have extensive experience in end-to-end procurement and supply chain program management, as well as project development, enabling you to navigate complex environments with ease. Supply Chain Management: Your background includes broad supply chain management experience, equipping you to handle challenges in intricate settings effectively. Dynamic Communication Skills: You possess the ability to communicate dynamically at all levels within National Grid and engage confidently with senior leaders in supplier organizations, fostering strong relationships. Team Leadership: You have a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, inspiring collaboration and driving success. Business Acumen: With a solid understanding of broader business objectives, you align procurement strategies with organizational goals to maximize impact. Negotiation and Dispute Resolution: You bring a strong skill set in negotiation and dispute resolution, ensuring that you achieve optimal outcomes in all interactions. Collaborative Approach: Your experience with cross-functional collaborative working methods allows you to effectively engage with diverse teams and stakeholders. Problem-Solving Skills: You have demonstrable problem-solving experience, particularly in managing large, complex projects, enabling you to tackle challenges head-on and deliver results. What You'll Get

A competitive salary between £55,000 – £69,000 – dependent on capability. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few. This role is offered on a Full-Time, Permanent basis. We are also offering hybrid/flexible working where travel to the office will be as per business need. Base location for this role will be National Grid House in Warwick. This role closes on 3rd February 2025 however we strongly encourage candidates to submit their application as early as possible.
