SF59217 At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together. If you join us, you can play your part as a Senior EC&I Designer at either of our Warrington or Preston sites. The Role As a Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Designer, you’ll provide support and technical guidance for a team of designers. The role will assure the quality of output to the required standards consistent with the whole lifecycle from concept to in-service support. Day-to-day, you’ll provide specialist technical advice and guidance, ensuring design governance for technical standards for the team. You’ll work with a high degree of technical autonomy and promote effective cooperation across Design and other functional teams. Allocate discipline tasks to the team of Designers, check drawing outputs, and ensure inter-discipline coordination in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Assist in effective management of customer relationships to aid business development and resolution of technical and delivery issues. Contribute to the preparation/production of drawings in support of design in line with recognised ISO standards and required time, cost, and quality requirements. Assist in the resolution of Production & Technical Queries and development of discipline solutions for manufacturing & installation issues. Develop innovative design solutions and fulfil Design Lead responsibilities for multi-discipline low-risk projects. Maintain awareness of developments within the industry, particularly for techniques & tools, physical integration, and management of design maturity. This role is full time or part time, 37 hours per week, providing hybrid working arrangements. Essential Experience Experience in a detailed design environment. Good knowledge of CAD tools. Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice. Qualifications HNC/HND minimum in a relevant discipline or equivalent academic qualification.
