You will play a pivotal role in teaching both GCSE and Functional Skills English, empowering our students to unlock their full potential and achieve their academic goals. You will also play an integral part in the department’s success by reviewing and enhancing the curriculum to ensure it remains relevant, challenging, and accessible. You’ll have a deep understanding of GCSE and Functional Skills English, with the ability to deliver lessons that not only engage but also inspire students to reach their full potential. With a recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or Cert Ed, you will be dedicated to supporting learners academically and personally, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals. You’ll have excellent communication skills, allowing you to connect effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Your organisational skills will enable you to plan well-structured lessons, track student progress, and assess their development accurately. You will use a proactive approach to ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed, tailoring your methods to suit a variety of learning styles and needs.
