The Opportunity A growing manufacturing start-up has a brand-new requirement for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support delivery of key projects into the Construction sector, having tripled in size since their inception in 2023.
With a growing customer base within construction, including Balfour Beatty, Roger Bullivant, and Mott McDonald; within sectors including Water, Energy, Nuclear, Residential, Hospitals, and General construction, this company is now expanding internationally.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to grow and quickly develop in their career, with excellent progression opportunities including line management.

Salary:
£45,000 plus

Involvement in the design and development of innovative products from concept to installation including component/system specification, definition, prototyping, manufacture, testing, and installation. Producing drawings, specifications, and technical reports which may include performance and failure. Investigation for a wide variety of products. Assessment of technical, time, and material requirements for the preparation of customer quotations. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to gather input, review design concepts, and incorporate necessary adjustments or revisions. Evaluate and select appropriate materials, building systems, and construction methods to ensure solutions are safe, durable, and achieve the desired design intent. Developing own knowledge and ability. Continuous improvement activities to support business growth. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve design practices and enhance construction efficiency.
