Service Engineer (Electrical / Mechanical) Starting Salary £30,000+ (Monday to Friday working pattern) Cooper Lomaz are currently working with a Norwich based company that is well established and growing, who are seeking a Service Engineer with an Electrical and Mechanical background. This will be a locally focused service engineer role where you will be working on site locally within Norfolk and at the office in Norwich. This new role will cover electrical installations and maintenance/fault diagnosis of specialist systems. Day-to-day you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, fault diagnosis, and maintenance of specialist systems whilst supporting vehicle, plant, and equipment maintenance. You will be responding to and dealing with customer breakdowns, servicing, and electrically testing on completion, whilst occasionally supporting apprentice development through shadowing and supervised learning. Skills needed: Electrical & Mechanical support of installations in a Commercial and Domestic environment. Servicing, fault diagnosis, maintenance, and responding to breakdowns. Carry out electrical testing and certification of electrical circuits. Ability to read panel drawings and understand control equipment. Provide support on technical issues for customers and staff. Work to recognize industry standards at all times. Assist other trades as/when required. Good working knowledge of BS7671. (Essential) Working knowledge of pipework installations (Desirable). Training/Qualifications needed to undertake the role: Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent AM2, testing and inspection, and certification of electrical circuits. Mechanical Engineering qualification preferred. Trailer licence preferred. Full driving licence. Current CSCS/ECS card. Confined Spaces trained – desirable. Organised and methodical approach to work. Good level of physical fitness. Minimum 1 year’s experience. Further Job Information: Standard 39-hour week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day. Overtime applicable as required. Pay to be discussed at the interview stage and dependent on qualifications and experience. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent. Benefits: Company pension. Free parking. On-site parking. Sick pay.
