They are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join their team, working from either their Leicester or Cambridge office. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the design and delivery of electrical building services for new-build and refurbishment projects in the education sector, focusing on energy efficiency, compliance, and sustainable solutions. Electrical Design Engineer Salary & Benefits Salary:

Electrical Design Engineer Job Overview Designing and specifying electrical building services, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and data systems. Producing technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for projects using industry-standard software. Developing sustainable and energy-efficient electrical designs that meet client and regulatory requirements. Collaborating with mechanical engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver coordinated designs. Conducting site visits to inspect installations and ensure compliance with design specifications. Preparing feasibility studies, technical reports, and cost estimates for clients. Supporting academy trusts with electrical infrastructure strategies to improve efficiency and sustainability. Electrical Design Engineer Job Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline. Proven experience in electrical design within a building services consultancy environment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, power distribution, and lighting systems. Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and lighting calculation tools. Familiarity with building regulations and standards (e.g., BS 7671, Part L, CIBSE guides). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
