Portfolio Procurement are looking to recruit an experienced Fresh Produce Senior Buyer/Category Manager. This is a 15 Month fixed term contract that comes with excellent benefits including Hybrid working (2 days in office per week), 25 days holiday, plus many other flexible benefits.
Primary Responsibilities:
Source fresh produce and negotiate prices across all fruit categories. Set the strategic direction of the product range and drive the sourcing of customer produce. Evolve supply base to keep up with the changing produce landscape. Lead regular supplier reviews and manage the performance of our supply. Support Sourcing team, providing guidance, coaching and support to your team.
Experience:
Experienced Fruit & Vegetable Buyer. Strong understanding of local and international fresh produce supply chains. Background of analysing market and customer trends to drive change. Supplier or customer management.
