Job offered by: Tuza
·
About Tuza Every time you tap with your card, that transaction passes through an acquiring bank. Tuza is building the technical infrastructure that enables to respond to rapidly changing payments landscape.

We work with the majority of acquiring banks in the UK, including Barclays and Worldpay. We’ve raised $7m from exceptional fintech investors, including Northzone (original backers of Zettle, Trustpilot, Klarna) and Connect (first investor into Typeform, Citymapper). Angels are from Apple, Stripe, Visa, Wise etc. This role...

is Tuza's first product hire, working directly with the CEO and CTO. You'll be working with the team to: Establish our product function, making sure the product strategy aligns with the company vision

Be the balance between customer demands and our capacity - e.g. how do we take our customers requirements and prioritise them in the context of the product scope

Nurture a product culture that is evident in

all

the team's work, not just your own

Be close enough to our users that you can be the voice of the customer in the room

Create the minimum viable process to deliver consistently high-quality product outcomes

Who you are An experienced product manager with a technical edge (2+ years).

You'll have an advantage if you have experience in fintech: onboarding, KYC/KYB, API integrations and acquiring. If not, we'll look for evidence that you can become an expert quickly.

Proven track record of delivering products from 0-1. We look forward to discussing these with you in interviews.

Demonstrable ability to communicate cross-function: engineering, design, commercial and support teams should all feel like they can talk to you.

Insistent that you must engage with customers as part of your role, and can clearly communicate the role they play in shaping your strategy.

Highly comfortable in ambiguity. You'll likely be able to prove this through work with early stage startups, or projects where you're starting with a blank sheet of paper.

Autonomous, but excited to work with others to enhance your work.

You find detail fun, but are also confident in your ability to know the sufficient level of detail for the moment in time.

What we offer: Competitive salary

Generous equity linked to your salary

You should always have the headspace to perform your best at home and work, so we have an unlimited holiday policy with an expected minimum of 24 days. You’ll also get £350 Airbnb credit to take a break you might not have done otherwise.

Pension

Creative office space in Spitalfields, London with free breakfast twice a week

We’d love to discuss you joining the team.

We’ve been on the other side of the table: recruiters who waste your time, job offers that don’t materialise, and technical challenges that you don’t even get feedback on. So here’s the process: Apply!

Call with one of the hiring team (likely, but not always, a founder)

A 1-hour take home assignment on product implementation

Final interview, ideally in person (Spitalfields, London) and a chance to meet the team.
