Radical Forge is a Middlesbrough, UK-based developer that has provided co-development services on a range of AAA and indie titles. In 2021, the company created its first original IP, 'Brightpaw', which Rogue Games published on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One/Series S/X, Google, and iOS. The studio is currently working on the much-anticipated silly, physics-based, sandbox farming game, 'Southfield'. Since its beginnings in 2017, the company has grown to over 60 incredibly talented, collaborative, and creative individuals. We are the sum of our skills, passion, and, most of all, our people. Your Mission

Radical Forge has created a new publishing team to work on our new IP Southfield and we need a talented person to join us and become the point person for all supporting assets for the game’s launch. There may also be some corporate static and video content required.

This is a Full Time 6 month contract. You would be responsible for: Supporting the Community Manager, Influencer Manager and associated PR and creative agencies

by ensuring we provide the very best assets from the game for campaign work Capturing single and choreographed multiplayer footage

of Southfield Creating static and video assets

on the fly as briefed by marketing, community or external agencies or media (using Adobe Suite of tools) Creating significant beat trailers

for the game as well as peeks into the development of the game for social channels and the community Publishing content strategically

across channels such as YouTube/Shorts and TikTok Ideating and producing new content

to increase our engagement on TikTok and YouTube Shorts Delivering

a strategic and tactical knowledge of the power of video content

to engage video game audiences Working with development to schedule asset delivery

and capture so that disruption to the development process is minimised Helping development teams understand the tools and options you need in-game

to help create tremendous assets Cataloguing and recording all assets

from archived WIP material to daily rushes, screenshots or drops Getting to know the game intimately to be able to

generate material that is authentic, and true to the gameplay experience Working with video creation agency to ensure they are briefed well , motivated and supplied with the best raw assets we can possibly deliver as a studio Working with various other partners, for example musicians, to

source the resources and tools needed for the job Ideate and create corporate video content

to engage with broader audiences Ideal Applicant

Enthusiasm for games, maybe an active member of a game community or two or even a content creator

Plays a wide variety of games, solo or with friends

An eye for what makes compelling game assets suited to the context they will be viewed in from store metadata, key art, trailers, banners etc.

Someone who is immersed in the wider world of video content, who gets as engaged with a TikTok from Curry’s as one from Bethesda

Someone who gets unreasonably excited when they see an amazing game trailer (and can work out why it’s exciting!) and probably ‘hero worships’ the great Derek Lieu

Experience in multiplayer game capture would be absolutely amazing and building or automation/systems game capture would also be an advantage

Willing to take part in on the job/or external training to gain new skills and develop existing

Great cultural fit with Radical Forge Skills Summary

Skilled in the fundamentals of image manipulation

Experienced at creating game videos and finished trailers (using Adobe tools or similar)

An eye for what makes great gameplay capture and experience at using ‘in engine’ tools to capture where possible

Knowledge of what makes great social content and how that differs across the various existing and emerging platforms

Ability to direct other players in multiplayer capture sessions

Ability to brief wonderfully compelling video creative

Experience of uploading store assets to at least one game platform

Good communication skills, the confidence to offer an opinion and be a part of the publishing team

Familiarity with at least one game platform, console or PC

Strong organisational skills and a ‘get it done’ mentality when it comes to tasks

Strong team mentality, at home working with people, understanding the needs of developers, marketing and community/social managers

A creative thinker, team collaborator, and all- round good egg

This role can be office based, hybrid, or remote within the UK. We will require all applicants to have a pre-existing right to work in the UK. The role will be a 6-month fixed term contract.
