As Commercial Interior Designer you will report directly to our Head of Design. You will be responsible for creating and managing through to delivery projects such as Marketing Suites, Modular buildings and Amenity spaces assisting on both CAT A/B works and provide design solutions for the new homes sector. You will need to work from conceptual stage when required, through to drawing up technical drawings and specifying, all while managing multiple projects and delivering up to handover. Through the daily tasks, show creativity through every project, be able to manage time and resource effectively. This role is very diverse and requires a high level of organisation, communication, multi-tasking, and attention to detail. Self-motivated and keen to get involved in every aspect of the design process are key attributes for this role. Job responsibilities

Bringing great, fresh ideas to the team that are project appropriate, captures the look and attitude Deliver confident and skilled space planning, applying knowledge of the planning process and building regulations where applicable Assist Head of design on concept and pitch works, adopting their concept and providing the necessary deliverables when needed. Actively attending site for visits in place of HOD, research and managing the installation/fit out duration of projects Understanding of RIBA STAGES Work with minor oversight to perform assignments including, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation Produce mood, material, and design presentations with minimal supervision Assist the team with FF&E specifications and budgets Supporting the Head of Design, Lead Interior Designer and Senior Designers to bring branding, interior design, and relevant visual styling to life in a 3D workspace Creating / Editing visuals / imagery in Photoshop Be proficient within SketchUp Creating & Editing presentations in InDesign Space planning in AutoCAD Be able to produce technical drawings in AutoCAD when required Collecting research imagery Assisting with drawing packs, their accuracy and the team’s accuracy Respond effectively to complex questions and troubleshoot problems, whilst working and switching between various projects Leading on design proposals with assistance from the team for presentations to the client when required Leading on the management of costs, budgets, and resources Liaising with external parties and specialists such as architects, engineers, and consultants Sourcing styling props and styling Interiors Responsible for keeping the sample library tidy and organised, removing out of date samples Sourcing and collating materials/products for schedules Contributing to the wider company promotion and marketing strategy Work often involves regular unsocial hours including early starts, late finishes and some weekends. Long hours and time spent in meetings or entertaining is the norm along with extensive travel as part of an Interior Designer role You will be expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties Person specification

A degree or equivalent in Interior Design/Interior Architecture (preferred but not essential) Full, clean UK driving licence Demonstrable experience of working in a senior position as an Interior Designer. Previous experience working for a Marketing Agency is desirable. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and InDesign, essential. AutoCAD and SketchUp, both of these are essential. 3D modelling and animation software such as 3ds Max, V-Ray would be beneficial. Strong artistic skills, including an eye for colour, composition, and lighting. Strong interpersonal skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong writing, grammatical and proofing skills. Skilled at prioritising and managing both your own and your team’s time across multiple clients in a fast-paced working environment. Excellent planning and organisational skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional presentation skills. An understanding of GDPR and relevant legislation. A creative thinker with the ability to design outside the box and bring great ideas to the table Be a good collaborator with the team and awareness of the success in sharing ideas and design discussions Ability to work to tight deadlines Unafraid to take responsibility, assisting the team deliver a seamless service to our clients A strong team player An ambitious and driven individual Passionate about the design industry and loves what they do as a Designer Great listening skills, with an open minded and team-oriented approach to work Able to think on your feet and see challenges, not problems Focus is an Equal Opportunities employer.
