Salary: Salary on commencement: GBP40,679.10 pa (90% of full rate), increasing to GBP45,199 per annum once initial training is complete. Plus, UP TO GBP10,550 per annum shift premium
Hours: 12-hour full continental day shift pattern working 8am-8pm.
Shift pattern: 2-off, 2-in, 3-off, 2-in, 2-off, 5-in, 2-off, 3-in, 2-off, 2-in, 3-off rotating

Job Overview:
An opportunity has arisen within the Maintenance department at Lynemouth Power Station for a Craft Technician to work within our onsite multi-disciplined maintenance teams. The successful candidate will carry out maintenance and repair of all plant and equipment relating to both electrical generation and fuel handling activities.
Key Responsibilities
Performing planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical equipment.
Fault finding and rectifying problems on electrical, control and instrumentation equipment.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPMs).
Working to the site safety rules and safe systems of work (SSOW).
Ensuring compliance with appropriate Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental standards, policies, and procedures.
Assisting with scheduled and unscheduled outage activities as required, to ensure all aspects of Electrical work are completed to program, in a safe and efficient manner.
Completing accurate maintenance reporting within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Developing and implementing engineering procedures, instructions, method statements, risk assessments and guidance documents.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Background
Experience working in a fast-paced heavy process environment, often under pressure and working to tight timescales.
Experience working with HV equipment including breakers, transformers and motors.
Experience of fault finding and rectifying problems on electrical circuits.
Experience of working with motors/switchgears cubicles (MCCs), control panels, wiring standards and variable speed drives (VSDs).
Experience / knowledge of safe systems of work including permit to work, method statements and risk assessments.
A good understanding of electrical principles.
A good knowledge of calibration of instrumentation (level, temperature, pressure, flow etc).
A good knowledge of basic fault finding on control and instrumentation equipment.

Qualifications
A time served EITB or NVQ apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical engineering (essential).
IOSH (desirable).
Engineering HNC or HND (desirable).
Comp Ex qualification preferred or a willingness to complete the specific training required (desirable).
BS7671 and Inspection and Testing qualifications preferred or a willingness to complete the specific training required (desirable).
