We are seeking a

Regulations & Compliance Analyst

to join our client within their team on a permanent basis. This role is based in Coventry with flexible hybrid working arrangements. My client operates as an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO). Regulated by OFGEM and adhering to industry standards, they aim to secure a significant market share and establish themselves as leaders within the competitive connections market.

This is a unique opportunity to join a brand-new team in an evolving industry. As the IDNO Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with OFGEM's distribution licence requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee compliance with regulations and business separation requirements while delivering expert guidance and reporting to the IDNO.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Leadership:

Drive all regulatory and compliance activities, leveraging support from the central EIS regulations team. Policy Development:

Assist in crafting and implementing regulatory and compliance policies and procedures. Industry Representation:

Represent the organization in industry forums. Audits and Investigations:

Conduct and support audits to ensure adherence to regulations and industry standards. Expert Guidance:

Provide subject matter expertise on IDNO regulations, supporting business growth and initiatives. Regulatory Monitoring:

Collaborate with the central EIS regulations team to track regulatory changes, updating company policies as needed. Compliance Reporting:

Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory authorities. Issue Resolution:

Investigate and address compliance issues or complaints, maintaining comprehensive records and documentation.

Knowledge and Skills:

Demonstrated success in compliance or regulatory roles. Solid understanding of OFGEM electricity distribution regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently. Proven ability to design and implement effective compliance programs. Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certification in compliance or related disciplines is advantageous. Proficiency with compliance management software. Strong auditing and investigative skills. Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams.
