We are looking to hire a dedicated individual to join our team in Newcastle as a Trainee Manager. This role focuses on gaining comprehensive knowledge of various aspects of the removals business, including sales, move management, and operations. You will work closely with Branch Managers, assisting in leading and managing branches to achieve revenue and margins; and contributing to targets through efficient planning, monitoring, and daily operational management. Your main responsibility will be ensuring a consistent, professional service is delivered to our customers that aligns with our quality standards. As the ideal candidate, you'll need a range of essential skills for this role. You'll focus on meeting customer needs and understanding business requirements. Your understanding of business principles will guide decision-making, ensuring the company's success. You'll motivate teams and create a positive working environment, helping colleagues reach their full potential. Coaching and training expertise will develop the team's skills. Your excellent planning and prioritising abilities will streamline operations. Clear communication, both verbal and written, will facilitate teamwork. Additionally, problem-solving skills and knowledge of transport legislation, fleet and maintenance controls will help address challenges and ensure compliance. Your responsibilities

Plan, monitor, and manage daily operations effectively. Provide accurate cost reporting on in-house systems, such as wages and purchase orders. Conduct pre-move calls 48 hours before each move. Complete weekly trading reports and monthly forecasts. Proactively manage personnel, vehicles, and materials required for planned moves. Conduct customer visits during and after moves to ensure service quality. Investigate claims and complaints thoroughly. Monitor and maintain compliance with all transport legislative requirements and health & safety regulations. Maintain an up-to-date training matrix for all operational staff.
