Landscape Architect for our South Region . FLS manages nearly 9% of Scotland, and we are focused on creating a resilient legacy for future generations. In our South Region, this means managing forests, peatlands, nationally important recreation sites, diverse habitats, and renewables developments. As an FLS landscape architect, the postholder will use their problem-solving and design skills at a variety of scales. They will drive collaboration between various forest functions to deliver multi-purpose land management, advise on planning, policy and contract matters, and promote effective project management and stakeholder engagement. The postholder's designs will need to respond and adapt to climate change, enhance our landscapes, provide for timber and biodiversity, create attractive visitor facilities, and develop robust and practical solutions to spatial planning problems. Applicants are not expected to have direct experience in forestry or woodlands, but would benefit from some experience in strategic planning or rural settings.
