As Senior Design Manager you will be based in Belfast working for an architectural firm which has built an excellent reputation for their work on a range of projects. They would be a household name in Ireland, and known for their expertise in design, master-planning, project management and sustainability. They provide to a variety of sectors including high rise residential buildings, large industrial clients for office buildings and industrial extensions as well as universities and health-care. This role will focus on their Data Centre Projects, where they are due an influx of projects this year as well as having a healthy amount of live projects also. Your New Role

As a Senior Design Manager you will be leading and managing the delivery of multiple projects and project teams. You will be advising clients throughout the various stages, steering them in the best direction. You should be able to achieve approved design solutions while being able to guide external consultants to achieve successful outcomes. Technically you should be comfortable administrating contracts, being a design team lead and relaying instructions to contractors. You can also expect to be in charge of site visits providing technical support where issues may arise there. Financially there will be budgets that you will need to adhere to and track to ensure the project is staying within remit and resources are being used effectively. Job Requirements

As this is a senior role, our client is requiring at least 10 years Irish construction sector experience. Key areas that you should have experience in are contract administration, project programming, resource planning and project management methodology. Excellent project design knowledge is key with strong presentation skills. You should have an Architectural or Engineering related degree. Experience in Science/Technology/Manufacturing/Industrial projects is key to be considered for this role. You will be working for a highly reputable architectural firm, they offer a range of benefits which includes a hybrid working model.
