This Band 6 position offers an excellent opportunity for a podiatrist to join our Conwy and Denbighshire team. The successful candidate will benefit from the support of our specialist podiatrists and opportunities for professional development. Depending on their interests, the role provides scope to specialise in areas such as nail surgery, biomechanics, and the care of diabetic and vascular foot ulcers. We are a forward-thinking and welcoming team, making this an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic podiatrist to grow and thrive. Main duties of the job

You will work as an autonomous practitioner, being professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own work including management of all service users in your care. To make appropriate judgements on and be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of podiatric care of your patient caseload. These will predominately be service users with complex medical and clinical needs including: Diabetes Chronic disease Vascular insufficiency Wound management/tissue viability Terminally ill service users Care will be provided in a range of primary and secondary care settings, the majority of which will be in isolation, without the support of podiatry colleagues, working as a single handed practitioner. Supervision will be largely self-driven through attendance at departmental briefings and supervision meetings and through seeking the advice of peers.
