We have an excellent opportunity for a Service Lead and Specialist Nutritionist for the NHS Low Calorie Diet Programme to join a leading CQC registered provider of Community Health Services in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. A full job specification will be provided on application.

About the company Our client is an exciting fast-paced, growing community health organisation. As an experienced provider of community health services, they are CQC registered and passionate about delivering evidence based, innovative, effective and relevant health care services and are commissioned by NHS England to deliver the innovative Low Calorie Diet Programme.

The programme aims to support people who are overweight and living with type 2 diabetes to achieve weight loss, reduce their health risk factors, decrease the amount of medication they need and for some, even put their diabetes into remission and is being delivered across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

About the role As a Service Lead and Specialist Nutritionist for the Low Calorie Diet Programme, you will effectively lead the team delivering the NHS Low Calorie programme and provide operational leadership and management with overall responsibility and accountability for delivering the project outputs and outcomes of the service across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Your key responsibilities will include: Be an influencer working closely alongside ICS partners to build relationships & successfully drive patient referrals to ensure contract success Work alongside team members and the Integrated Care Systems (ICS) to continuously improve & increase good quality referrals into the service whilst tracking the flow to minimise waiting lists Deliver training to stakeholders on the NHS Low Calorie programme & support GP Practices with referrals working alongside the ICS Chair meetings between the ICS & the business & report on data Analyse data, write reports & discuss these with the commissioners on a monthly & quarterly basis with support Problem-solve referral driving activity Lead & coordinate staff to facilitate service delivery Lead staff meetings, providing clinical supervision & regular 1:1 support to staff Support staff in using motivational interviewing & behavioural change skills, working through any potential barriers to attendance & keep patients committed to achieving their outcomes Quality assurance for delivery staff, data & record keeping Performance management of staff Build a strong commissioner relationship and embedding in the local economy for instance ensuring we are involved in local stakeholders’ meetings for weight management & diabetes care planning Monitor performance and feed back Monitor expenses & budget management Analyse & report client feedback & delegate necessary service development actions Input data on the database and ensure the validity of data with support from the information governance team Manage your own client caseload and prioritising your workload

About you To be successful in the role of Service Lead and Specialist Nutritionist for the NHS Low Calorie Diet Programme previous experience running an NHS service is preferable and you must have / be: A highly organised manager who is adept at devising and implementing patient-centred processes whilst managing your own caseload Confident in using and analysing data to improve KPI performance, write reports and lead on contract review meetings with the commissioners Degree in an accredited Nutrition course Member of the UKVRN with the title Registered Nutritionist Previous experience within a similar role Experience in working with people living with type 2 diabetes and with overweight/obese adults The ability to travel independently across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire

About the rewards For the role of Service Lead and Specialist Nutritionist for the Low Calorie Diet Programme you will work 40 hours per week and there is a competitive salary on offer of £27,500 to £30,000 per annum.
