We are based within the former primary school building in the centre of Upton St Leonards. Set in lovely grounds, the nursery incorporates a large playground used as off-road parking. We also have three grassy play areas, a nature garden with a potting shed, and a large patio for outdoor play. The school building lends itself particularly well to nursery use, providing plenty of space for all age groups. We also have a sensory room and a ball pit for the younger children. We aim to create a safe and happy environment offering each child stimulating and interesting activities through play. We offer a 10% discount for siblings. Fees do vary for age ranges - please contact us for details. We are closed on bank holidays. This Provider has signed Gloucestershire County Council’s Agreement to offer the free 15hrs for 2, 3 & 4-year-olds and up to 30hrs of the free government entitlement for 3 & 4-year-olds. As part of the team, you will be supporting the children’s learning and development through play and activities. This is a great role with lots of opportunities for development. Day-to-day tasks can include: Assisting team members to provide top-notch care and education for children. Building authentic and meaningful relationships with children and their parents/carers. Working with nursery staff to ensure children’s needs and requirements are met. Supporting inclusive practices and helping plan and assess activities that cater to the unique development needs of each child. Helping to prepare and feed children simple meals and drinks. Teaching general life skills, such as basic hygiene and manners. Closely supervising children during activities and ensuring the environment is safe. You will be working 30+ hours per week, which will be on a rota basis Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm. Entry Requirements

Grade 4 (C) in Maths and English is preferred but not essential. Skills Required

Creative Initiative Physical fitness Training to be Provided

You will be working towards your Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship (Level 2). Your training will primarily be online, including regular group training sessions. You will also work towards your safeguarding and paediatric first aid qualifications. You will be required to work towards your Functional Skills in Maths and English if you do not already hold a grade 4 (C) or above in these subjects. Things to Consider

This is a physical and active role, and you will need to be alert and have the ability to get involved. Future Prospects
