You will undertake a varied rotational training programme working as a member of our Clinical Pharmacy Team providing ward-based pharmacy support across the Trust in various clinical specialities and operational services which will provide you with a solid foundation for your future career. As part of the department's commitment to supporting CPD activities, a comprehensive induction and local training programme is provided. Undertaking a well-regarded Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy is also encouraged. Current trainee pharmacists are welcome to apply; previous hospital experience is not essential as extensive training is available. Main duties of the job
Our rotational clinical pharmacists provide a high quality, patient-centred service ensuring the safe, effective, legal and accurate use of medicines across the trust. You will be self-motivated and organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work effectively alone and as part of a team. This will include: Providing a safe and efficient clinical pharmacy service to hospital wards and departments in accordance with departmental policies and contributing to the development of pharmacy services as required. Providing education and training support for nursing staff and patients and providing pharmaceutical advice to clinicians. Delivering a comprehensive on-call service, to identify and meet the pharmaceutical care needs of patients, 24 hours a day, including bank holidays and weekends. About us

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
Vocational Masters Degree in pharmacy and one year pre-registration training experience Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council 1 year pre-registration training providing supervised experience (in either hospital or community pharmacy) Experience using pharmacy computer systems for stock control and labelling Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Member of the UKCPA or other specialist interest groups Hospital experience including medicines information, dispensing and aseptic services rotations Experience using JAC stock control systems Experience of electronic prescribing systems Personal Attributes
