An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Royal Liverpool Hospital to join the Colorectal team for a 12-month secondment covering maternity leave. We are looking to recruit a dynamic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to support the colorectal service on ward 5D. Successful candidates will be expected to provide direct clinical care through independent assessment and examination of patients admitted to Ward 5D. Candidates should have (or be willing to work towards) a relevant clinical master’s degree (Level 7) in Advanced Practice (or equivalent) which includes a Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) qualification. The successful candidate will support the clinical team on a busy regional colorectal unit and will carry out practice autonomously with support from the colorectal team. Participation in audit and research is expected. Main Duties of the Job

Work closely with the Colorectal team. Improve the experience and outcomes of care for patients by supporting the team in investigations and treatments prescribed. Provide a consistent and personalised service ensuring the patients receive the best care. Provide social, emotional, and psychological support for patients from referral through treatment. Deliver expert specialist evidence-based care including development, assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating programmes of care. Make appropriate referrals to consultants/other specialists/members of the multidisciplinary team. Be aware of risk management issues and develop strategies to address identified issues. Work within the NMC's Code of Professional Conduct. Qualifications

Clinical professional qualification. Degree level or equivalent with appropriate registration. MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) or commitment to complete the MSc ACP pathway/programme. Teaching and assessing qualification. Evidence of participation in audit and research. Experience

Demonstrable relevant experience within the specialty. Evidence of effective management and leadership skills. Evidence of staff development and knowledge regarding the provision and development of education programmes. Evidence of change management. Knowledge

Understanding and application of healthcare governance. Up-to-date Advanced Clinical Practice portfolio. Skills

Committed to delivering high standards of patient care. Basic IT skills, including e-mail and word processing. Other
