Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced leader to oversee and develop a highly skilled team in a machining environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality output, driving efficiency, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities of the Production Manager include: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of machinists and operators Implement and champion lean manufacturing principles and process improvements tailored to machining operations Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, ensuring production goals are met and exceeded Drive quality assurance and operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with industry standards Promote a safe and collaborative work environment while addressing potential risks proactively We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: Proven experience in production or operations management, ideally within a CNC machining or precision engineering environment A deep understanding of machining processes and techniques, including CNC programming and tooling Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and a passion for continuous improvement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and align teams towards shared goals
