Senior Electrical Engineer

to join our Delivery Execution team. You will be responsible for analyzing and validating the development of innovative solutions and improvement of existing solutions, which involves knowledge of mechanical design of the Metso equipment and how they are implemented in a Mill processing circuit to program PLC’s or submit detailed functional descriptions and logic diagrams for the Customer’s PCS. Your role plays a crucial part in developing Metso’s standard product portfolio according to the product development roadmap and develop specific solutions for our customers. In this position, you will report to the Manager, Electrical Engineering. Team you belong to: You will join a team of Electrical Engineers enthusiastic about providing the best solutions for customers who are excited about quality work and attention to details and work to ensure the equipment works well and at its best. We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as Sales, Engineering, Mechanical and Hydraulic engineers. Develop overall electrical designs, including wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, written functional descriptions, control & instrumentation diagrams, and component specifications for customer orders and Metso Grinding equipment and system proposals. Project Execution:

Review customer inquiry specifications and develop detailed exceptions and clarifications from the proposals team to formulate the project execution of the Electrical Design. Technical Expertise:

This includes PLC logic and programming, motor controls, control panel design, possible field commissioning and troubleshooting, vendor testing, customer visits, proposal and sales support, equipment evaluation and selection, and support for cost estimation on new project proposals. Customer Support:

Research and answer technical questions for internal and external customers. Documentation:

Prepare engineering drawings and electrical schematics using drafting/design best practices and computer programs provided by Metso. Programming:

Create and edit existing PLC and HMI programs for Grinding Equipment. Team Collaboration:

Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team to complete projects and achieve goals. Quality and Ethics:

Show a commitment to quality, ethics, and a focus on meeting the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers. Who you are: Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Electromechanical Engineering Technology. Experience:

Previous experience in electrical system design and project engineering. Technical Skills:

High computer aptitude with specific expertise in PLCs, synchronous and induction motors, MCCs, instrumentation and process control, and electrical project engineering. Engineering Skills:

Proven abilities in data handling, control theory and logic, application of electrical engineering principles, and structured problem-solving. Communication Skills:

Good verbal and written communication skills with attention to accuracy and detail. Personal Attributes:

Commitment and motivation tempered by awareness, flexibility, and perseverance, especially while working at client sites. Industry Knowledge:

Experience with OEMs serving mining or other heavy equipment industries is desirable. Software Proficiency:

Knowledge and experience with Siemens and Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) PLC and HMI Software, and LV and MV VFDs are desirable. What's in it for you? An inspiring purpose:
