Production Team Leader

Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM (flexibility required for occasional production demand). 38 hours per week. Job Purpose: The objective of this role is to lead a production department in producing finished goods to agreed specifications and standards, achieving daily planned output within estimated labour hours. Main Activities (Please note this list is not exhaustive): Ownership and Accountability : Responsible for overseeing and managing the production line. Target Achievement : Ensure daily planned output targets for the production line are met. Quality Control : Monitor quality throughout production, controlling waste levels. Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records of production outputs, waste, and stock. Training and Communication : Ensure effective communication and conduct training for all employees on the production line. Team Building : Promote a "one team" approach where all employees treat each other with dignity and respect. Hands-on Support : Provide support on the production lines alongside colleagues as needed. High Standards : Maintain high quality and housekeeping standards. Professional Integrity : Act with professionalism, integrity, and always align with Company Values. Health and Safety : Foster a zero-harm culture, prioritising health, safety, and well-being in the workplace. Person Specification: Knowledge/Expertise : Manufacturing Experience : Proven background in manufacturing processes. Quality Focus : Strong attention to quality standards. Willingness to Learn : Openness to learn and progress in the role. Leadership Experience : Prior experience in a team-leading role, or the ability to quickly develop these skills through training and experience. Interpersonal Skills : Ability to Work Under Pressure : Maintain a positive attitude when faced with challenges. Problem-Solving : Strong skills in identifying and resolving issues. Self-Discipline : Organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Team-Oriented : A dependable and reliable team player who can also use initiative.
