This is your chance to bring Macpac's strategic vision to life through exceptional product design, research, and development, all while championing sustainability and customer satisfaction. Day to Day but, not limited to: Research and Development:

Conduct market research, analyse trends, and use customer insights to design innovative, customer-focused outdoor products. Product Design:

Develop innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable designs while collaborating with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver high-quality products. Project Management:

Manage workflows, oversee product testing, and coordinate all aspects of design and materials to meet timelines and expectations. Seasonal Colour Palette Development:

Create cohesive, customer-focused colour palettes that align with seasonal product ranges and brand identity. Macpac Culture and Capability Development:

Champion Macpac’s values, build strong team relationships, and engage in continuous personal and professional growth. Workplace Health and Safety:

Promote a safe, healthy work environment by adhering to safety standards and proactively addressing risks. What you bring: Proven Design Experience:

Product or equipment design, with a demonstrated ability to deliver innovative and customer-focused solutions. Apparel design experience considered. Curiosity and Openness:

A natural curiosity for exploring new ideas, trends, and technologies, paired with a willingness to adapt and grow. Articulate Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently and eloquently present design ideas and their underlying ethos. Budget and Deadline Management:

Experience working within budget constraints and meeting strict deadlines while maintaining design quality. Negotiation Skills:

Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, and stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes. Collaborative Work Style:

A team-oriented approach, fostering constructive collaboration and effective communication across departments. Industrial Design or Related Qualification:

A tertiary-level qualification in industrial design, product design, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Why Join Us?
