Mechanical Design Engineer Nottingham £35k to £40k Are you an innovative Mechanical Design Engineer seeking an opportunity to develop cutting-edge automated material handling equipment? Join our client's team to contribute to exciting projects and advanced engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to design customer-specific solutions and prepare detailed technical proposals. Develop concepts for complex mechanical systems using milling, turning, and sheet metal fabrication techniques. Create high-quality designs with 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) and produce 2D drawings when needed. Build strong client relationships, ensuring solutions meet their needs and uncovering additional opportunities. Conduct site visits for surveys, technical discussions, and project reviews. Manage projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and reporting progress. The Mechanical Design Engineer will have: Mechanical Engineering Degree. 3+ years experience designing automated material handling equipment i.e. conveyor systems. Proven experience using Solidworks. Understanding of manufacturing processes, reliability, and maintenance. Effective problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Customer-focused with a proactive approach to delivering results.
