Repairs Supervisor needed in Swindon Paying £16.79 per hr ref OR4449 Full time hours on a temporary basis We are seeking a dedicated Repairs Supervisor to oversee building maintenance operatives and ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality repairs services. Key Accountabilities: Coordinate and supervise building maintenance operatives to ensure cost-effective use of resources and advise repairs managers on resource requirements. Ensure all work is completed within the priority period and to a high standard. Pre-inspect work to identify content, duration, and materials required, and liaise with surveyors to clarify descriptions before works commence. Produce detailed schedules of works and specify job requirements to enable the in-house workforce to carry out the works. Pre-order non-stock and stock materials for larger or more complicated works to ensure timely availability. Monitor the delivery of repairs in line with agreed policies and performance standards. Work with planners to ensure works are correctly appointed with adequate time allocation. Conduct site compliance inspections to ensure equipment and safety gear are within inspection dates and daily van checks are carried out. Collaborate with building surveyors to diagnose building repair solutions for corporate assets. Carry out post-inspections of completed works to ensure materials, time, and plant have been correctly claimed and investigate complaints of poor workmanship. Organize and control contractors engaged by the building maintenance department. Report post-inspection and health and safety inspection results to repairs coordinators and Area Managers. Assist repairs business support with completed work queries. Respond to correspondence regarding repairs and maintenance complaints and service delivery inquiries.
