The Vacancy Industry Placement Coach – Engineering 37 Hours per week X 52 Weeks per year Are you looking for an opportunity to work for an organisation that really cares about its staff and students? The role of Industry Placement Coach for Engineering is ideal if you: Are an experienced Industry Placement Coach, who can manage multiple workloads across diverse sectors. Have experience of working in a commercial environment or have an interest in engaging with local businesses. Have worked within the sector and want to now mentor young people based on your experience. Can manage complex workloads to ensure key deadlines are achieved. See the bigger picture and are able to communicate this to others effectively in order to achieve a common goal. Want to start a career with an organisation that cares about their people and wants to make a real difference. Day-to-day you will be responsible for: Implementing the strategic direction of the college, ensuring compliance, whilst managing the day-to-day operations. Managing a caseload of students preparing for the world of work, ensuring they log their hours and reflect on the new skills they have learnt. Visiting tutorials and delivering training sessions around employability skills. Meeting students on a 121 basis or in small groups to support them with their placement and/or next steps. After your first year with us, success would look like: Achieved high levels of satisfaction from helping our students gain valuable real-life work experience. Completed all administration for all placements. Built strong working relationships and supported colleagues where possible. Enthusiastically engaged with the college's dedicated CPD programmes.
