start. The potential candidate should be familiar with a range of techniques for delivering engaging and aspirational lessons. A strong level of subject knowledge and proven ability in this subject area is required. As a teacher of ICT and Computer Science, you will: Deliver secondary ICT and Computer Science lessons, adapting schemes of work according to pupils’ abilities. Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students. Contribute to raising standards of engagement with students. Support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth. Computer Science & ICT Teacher Requirements: Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) with UK-based teaching experience. Have recent experience teaching ICT and Computer Science. A proven track record of raising attainment within the ICT Department. Be a flexible, dedicated education practitioner, with a genuine desire to help young people overcome their barriers to learning. Be able to provide 2 relevant teaching references (placements will be accepted for Early Career Teachers). Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education. Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
