Behavioural Support Worker Required in Weymouth! Are you passionate about making a positive impact on students' behaviour and well-being? A local secondary school in Weymouth is seeking a dedicated Behavioural Support Worker to join the dynamic team to support students' social and emotional development. Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of behaviour support plans (BSPs) developed by teachers and SENCO, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in managing challenging behaviours. Offer one-on-one or small group support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them to understand and manage their emotions and behaviours in various settings. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting and reinforcing positive behaviour and social skills among students. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals to develop and review behaviour intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs. Monitor student behaviour and progress, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as necessary. Assist teachers in maintaining a productive learning environment by implementing proactive strategies and providing support during lessons. Qualifications: Experience working with students with behavioural challenges in an educational or similar setting. Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies. Empathy, patience, and resilience to effectively support students in managing their behaviour and emotions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, staff, and parents/guardians. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, contributing to a positive school community. Additional Requirements: Have the right to work in the UK. Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
