Your new role Hays Supply Chain are thrilled to be working on a new and exciting opportunity as a Supply Planner for a global manufacturing business based in Rotherham. As Supply Planner, you will optimise the supply chain in our region by balancing supply demands, ensuring minimum production and distribution costs are incurred whilst providing the best-in-class customer service. Also, you will actively manage and analyse the power cost optimisation for the businesses production plants in the UK and Ireland, through implementing load management plans. In this role to achieve success, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple areas of the business, including the Operating Centre, Planning Centre and the Transport functions to plan and implement supply plans that minimise our plant running costs and optimise distribution labour and vehicle use.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a similar position working within a planning function in either Supply Chain, Demand or Transport. You have a results-orientated mindset with a proven track record of delivering results and implementing supply chain strategies that achieve the desired business goals. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally and develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally. Also, you will have experience and interest in identifying and implementing improvements that will maximise efficiency and the way the business works in the product supply chain team. You will be extremely analytical and have strong experience of using digital tools and systems, including Power BI, Excel, ERP etc.
