To undertake the day to day transactional aspects of Procurement including placing purchase orders and assisting with maintenance of electronic catalogues. To provide a high quality customer service to all trust users. To provide an effective and professional supplies service that delivers on-going cost efficiencies/benefits to the trust(s) in line with departmental objectives. To ensure that dealings with suppliers comply with statutory requirements and that the trust fully complies with its obligations under the EU Procurement Directives. To continually strive for best practice, bring innovation, and more effective ways of working in everything the department undertakes. About Us

Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service. United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment. From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Pilgrim Hospital is situated in beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service. Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services. Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county. This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations. The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG). What Should You Do Next?

Qualifications

Essential Educated to minimum GCSE or equivalent at Grade C or above including Maths and English Language. Business related NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience of working in an administrator role in a similar environment. Desirable Willingness to pursue further educational & training opportunities, especially NVQs. Previous Experience

Essential Previous experience of working in a purchasing environment. Experience at operating as part of a team. Desirable Experience in a large commercial organisation. Experience at providing a high level of customer service. Knowledge, Skills, Aptitudes

Essential Commercial awareness. Good written and verbal communication skills. Dealing with suppliers at various levels. Customer care. Literacy and numeracy and keyboard skills. Desirable Able to influence others using persuasion and interpersonal skills. Computer skills to include spreadsheets and computerised purchasing system. Customer service skills. Specific Requirements

Essential Ability to produce clear concise information. Desirable Ability to complete tasks according to objectives and on time. Flexible approach. Eagerness to embrace change.
