The
Senior Finance Analyst Digital
is responsible for supporting Abcam's Digital function through consistent financial reporting and analysis, focusing on Operational and Capital expenditure for the function.
This position reports to the
Finance Director, Commercial & Digital
and is part of the Financial Planning and Analysis Team located in Cambridge and will be on site. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.
This position is for a 12-month fixed term contract.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Planning and Budgeting : Drive OPEX and CAPEX budgeting and forecasting, across the Digital functions, ensuring alignment with business goals. Financial Analysis and Reporting : Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance and trend analysis on actual performance, providing regular updates to the business. Business Partnering : Opportunity to develop relationships with key business leaders to understand their strategic objectives and provide financial support. Decision Support : Provide timely and actionable financial insights to support business decisions. Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency and ensure appropriate controls are in place. The essential requirements of the job include:
Qualified accountant. Proven experience in a similar role. Financial modelling and analytical skills (i.e. Excel). Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards. Proficiency in financial planning systems and tools. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
