https://www.productivity.ac.uk/ The project will explore the association between personal values, motivation, social factors, and economic productivity in the UK. More specifically, it will investigate the extent to which motivations related to work, and underlying personal and social values, have changed over time, and across generations. We will draw on a number of large panel data sets, with the aim to extract insights about the psychological and motivational factors underlying productivity in the UK, including how they have been changing over time. The successful post holder will work as part of an interdisciplinary team composed of psychologists and economists: Professor Simone Schnall, Professor in Experimental Social Psychology (University of Cambridge), Professor Mary O'Mahoney, TPI Research Director and Professor of Applied Economics (King's College London), and Dr. Augustin De Coulon, Reader in Economics (King's College London). The post-holder will be based in person at the University of Cambridge but will also be expected to occasionally visit the investigators at King's College London.
