ASAP About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced SEND (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and vibrant team at a well-regarded primary school in the London Borough of Ealing. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have a variety of special educational needs, helping to create an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. The candidate needs to be comfortable with challenging behaviour. Key Responsibilities: Support children with SEN in the classroom, under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator). Assist with tailored learning plans, adapting resources to meet individual needs. Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. Help with the implementation of behaviour management strategies. Monitor and record students' progress, sharing feedback with the class teacher and other staff. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. Ideal Candidate: Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with students with special educational needs. A passion for working with children and a desire to make a positive impact on their education and well-being. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team. Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to meeting students' diverse needs. An understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEN, and the ability to support them effectively. Qualifications: A Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3) is preferred but not essential. Experience working in a school setting or with children with additional needs is desirable.
