Software Engineer required for my client based in Basildon, who specialise within testing systems for automotive components.
The successful Software Engineer will join an in-house engineering programmer and help with the development of all company projects. They will need to be proficient with their understanding of PLC software - for industrial automation.
Software Engineer Position Overview
The design and development of PLC and HMI applications to customer's specifications and standards. Working as part of a Project Team in conjunction with Mechanical Design and Hardware Controls disciplines. Production of Software documentation - Functional Design Specification and detailed software design specifications. Commissioning of machines whilst in build at our premises. Supporting site commissioning teams. Software Engineer Position Requirements
A degree within a software engineering related subject. PLC & HMI programming techniques in special purpose machine environment in one or more of the following: Siemens S7 Classic/TIA portal/Schneider/Rockwell. Experience in Fieldbus configuration and diagnostics, profibus, profinet, Modbus TCP/IP. Automotive industry experience. Based within a commutable distance of Basildon. Full UK driving licence. Software Engineer Position Remuneration
Salary - £25,000 to £50,000 - dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications. Full time position - Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours a week. Hybrid Working WFH 2 days subject to workload. Holiday package - 25 Days plus 1 extra day each year up to 30 Days. Other additional benefits - Company performance Bonus.
