Accountant - Energy Industry 6 month contract Hybrid remote working - London office A leading energy company is currently recruiting for an Accountant to join their Reporting team. Key Responsibilities Manage various accounting tasks during the monthly financial close, such as industry cost accruals and reconciliations. Prepare key schedules for monthly management reporting and coordinate with stakeholders who rely on this information. Produce quarterly financial schedules for reporting to the parent company. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and create detailed supporting workpapers. Support external audits, including the preparation of specific disclosures for annual statutory accounts. Assist with non-financial reporting, including OFGEM disclosures and ONS surveys. Key Requirements Part-qualified or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) Familiarity with monthly financial close and reporting processes. Background in the energy industry is a plus but not mandatory. Experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally under IFRS. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Workday is advantageous but not essential. Seniority level
