To understand more about Clarksons, visit us at www.clarksons.com Role Summary We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Tooling & Supplies division. You will be responsible for managing key company accounts, conduct sales, business development, client maintenance and support; all in accordance with company procedures, H&S systems and the company‘s quality system. The role will be based from our Aberdeen facility and require frequent travel. What you’ll be doing Identify new leads and create client relationships for development. Maintain close contact with key clients to answer enquiries and grow service offerings. Continually progress key client requirements efficiently alongside our internal sales and operations departments. Assist the internal sales team in developing the pipeline of new business coming into the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the company’s service offering and the marketplace. (Ongoing product training is provided). Support the generation, submission and follow-up of quotations and tender responses. As required, represent the company at trade shows, conferences and similar events to create business opportunities. Regular travel domestically (there may also be overseas travel when necessary), to visit clients, suppliers and business partners. Work closely with our procurement team to collaborate with suppliers and business partners to ensure successful outcomes – supporting the company’s supply chain and ensuring its capable of handling all client requirements efficiently and cost effectively. Liaise with other business units to create shared opportunities to promote Gibb services. Work closely with our service staff to ensure the highest levels of performance are delivered, in line with both client and company expectations. Work alongside operations to ensure the successful conversion of lead and client requirements to a satisfactory conclusion, whilst always delivering the highest levels of service. Ad hoc / additional duties may occasionally be required to meet the needs of the business. Ensure company expectations are met and client expectations are exceeded. and respect for company values. Other requirements Solid, proven Sales or Business Development background, preferably from an Oil & Gas or Offshore Wind related industry. Preferred experience from a tooling or MRO background, but not essential. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, able to effectively liaise with people at all levels and build strong relationships. Client oriented, and able to tailor approach. Organised and self-motivated, able to multi-task and prioritise to meet deadlines. Positive and enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude. Ability to work calmly under pressure. Good problem-solving skills, and able to use initiative. Flexible and proactive approach to work. Strong IT skills, with intermediate excel skills. Full UK driving licence.
