Technical Programme Manager Location: UK, Nottingham Length: Start 17/02/2025 End 03/10/2025 Rate: TBC Hours:

40 hours per week Key Areas & Responsibilities:

Oversee the end-to-end delivery of large, strategic, and often complex software initiatives, from initial concept through to deployment and post-launch support. Ensure that these initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and meet the defined success criteria. Initiative Planning & Management:

Define scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders such as other Business Units across our client, Heads of Product, Heads of Marketing, Heads of Design, and the Senior Leadership Team in ECS. Develop plans (sprint, quarterly & horizon), including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Technical Leadership:

Work closely with the development team to understand technical challenges. Motivate and engage team(s) to ensure they are driving toward the product domain’s objectives and key results (OKRs). Ensure that technical solutions align with architecture objectives and business objectives while maintaining high standards of code/technical quality. Facilitate meetings and events; rounding up consensus, applying processes, and ensuring buy-in. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Enable one or more cross-functional teams to deliver value to our client's customers. Coordinate with other teams, departments, and Our Client's business units to remove blockers, manage dependencies, and ensure smooth project delivery. Facilitate communication, influence, and collaboration across different parts of the organization. Work with others across BU’s on combined roadmaps & tracking against these roadmaps. Stakeholder Communication:

Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. Provide transparency via regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues. Ensure alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders. Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and manage project risks. Proactively address potential roadblocks and develop contingency plans to ensure project continuity. Third-Party & Resource Management:

Coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to ensure timely delivery of project milestones. Manage third-party onboarding and day-to-day delivery. Budget Management:

Monitor and manage initiative budgets, ensuring that financial resources are used effectively and efficiently. Report on budget variances and take corrective action as needed. Documentation & Quality Assurance:

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, design specifications, meeting minutes, and progress reports. Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards. Change Management:

Manage the impact of organizational changes on the team and project delivery. Help the team adapt to changes in scope, priorities, or resources while maintaining focus on project goals. Continuous Improvement:

Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Use metrics and gather feedback to drive insight and continuous improvement. Continuously enhance the environment for our people, removing friction and embracing a seamless experience across all functions. Essential Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within an Agile environment, with at least 5 years in a technical role (e.g. software development, systems architecture). Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern software development practices. Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools. Experience working with Third Parties. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities. A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams across multiple geographies. A personal style that embraces servant leadership and teamwork. Financial literacy around forecasting and managing budgets, costs, and revenue. Understanding of financial impacts of decisions.
