Assist technical leads with various project tasks on an ad-hoc basis. Support data collection, surveys, and fieldwork, including rapid litter appraisals, river condition surveys, and air quality monitoring data collection, as required. Assist in coordinating administrative tasks for various projects within the environmental portfolio, including general directions and byelaws. Manage the Environment team's shared inbox, allocating tasks such as river works licensing, planning applications, external queries, and internal requests. Collaborate with leads to provide timely and accurate guidance on river works licenses, dredging applications, and internal projects for internal teams. Lead the provision of accurate advice on low-risk and temporary river works license applications. Qualifications and Requirements:
Good understanding of river and estuary ecosystems and ability to travel the length of the Thames. Experience with the consenting process for marine infrastructure projects. Experience with assessments under the Water Framework Directive or Habitat Regulations (highly desirable). Degree level (or equivalent) education in an environmental field. Solid understanding of environmental considerations, particularly in water quality, air quality, or ecology. Experience providing technical advice and coordinating projects.
