Group Financial Controller Job Summary The Group Financial Controller is responsible for all aspects of financial accounting for the group including day to day finance operations, cashflow and liquidity, regulatory compliance, statutory filings, audits, tax, and treasury. This role reports directly to the CFO but works closely with the Group Business Controller and various internal and external stakeholders and professionals. What you’ll be doing: Build and manage a strong finance controlling team and ensure the ongoing personal development, succession planning and resilience of the team. Full ownership and management of the balance sheet, treasury and cashflow, including cash forecasting, FX and working capital requirements. Responsible for defining and implementing an appropriate internal control and risk matrix and ensuring compliance with both the internal controls and external requirements for the group. This includes statutory audits and reporting, group tax matters (including R&D and transfer pricing), and other regulatory matters. Responsible for defining, implementing and monitoring the group tax policy and risk control framework. Overall responsibility for payroll working closely with HR, Sales and the Business Controlling Team to ensure accurate employee payments and correct tax treatment of pay, benefits and expenses. Work with the Business Controlling Team to deliver corporate and management reporting and monitoring requirements on topics such as cash, DSO and covenant related items. You'll also: Be a champion and change leader, ensuring that the finance controlling team, its systems and processes are compliant and supportive to current and future business growth and initiatives. Here's what we're looking for: Appropriate qualification in Finance, Business Economics or Accounting and 5+ years management experience within a world class Corporate Finance Controlling team. Strong technical, analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills and ability to work to tight deadlines. Excellent communication and people management skills, and able to operate and influence at all levels both within the organisation and externally with affiliates, auditors and local tax authorities. Focused on execution with a positive, pragmatic attitude and willing to take a “hands on approach” when required. The ability to identify root cause issues and recommend / implement system and process changes.
