IT Technician required in a School based in Exeter. To support in delivering, maintaining and supporting technology across the school. You will be required to work to high standards of safety and accountability to ensure all IT related services operate effectively with the minimum risk of downtime. You will play a key part of the IT strategy group to develop the school's IT systems. This role is a full-time, all year-round permanent position working Monday to Friday 8am-16:30pm in term time and 8am-15:30 in school holidays, as well as 5 Saturday Events across the year and 3 after school events. Flexible working conditions are also considered. Position Overview

Reporting to the school business manager, contributing to the operation of IT Services to support teaching, learning & business functions across the school. Providing 1st & 2nd Line Support for more complex requests and issues across the school, performing diagnostic procedures on hardware & applications. Support, assist and train all staff and students when required. Create and manage the school's asset registers of all hardware and software. Oversee the procedures relating to security, backup, disaster recovery, and acceptable use. Support, maintain, develop & deploy all IT Hardware and software resources without exception. Actively maintain & monitor the anti-virus / anti-malware provision and overall security of the IT systems. Support of active network appliances including switches, routers, and Firewalls. Responsible for the operation of the Service desk. Support the installation of additional servers and upgrading of the network operating systems. Secure and protect sensitive school data. To support marketing events, outside of normal working hours. Position Requirements

Relevant technical qualifications around Windows Server & Windows Desktop Environments (MCSA is desirable). Diagnostic and Troubleshooting skills. Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS & DHCP knowledge. 3CX Phone Systems – Advantage. SCCM / MECM Knowledge. Microsoft 365 & SharePoint. Exchange Online & OneDrive. Strong communication skills and the ability to understand quickly & resolve issues. Ability to engage with end users to support the school's IT infrastructure. Working knowledge of effective service management methodologies (ITIL, Cyber Essentials or Similar). Position Remuneration

Monday to Friday 8am – 16:30pm in term (hour for lunch). Monday to Friday 8am – 15:30pm in school holidays. 25 days holiday including bank holidays. Other benefits discussed at interview stage.
